By request, we are now carrying the winter tire for our Vanagon customers who use a separate set of wheels just for their extreme weather driving. These are studdable Nokian Tires for your 14" steel or alloy wheels. We have these available both as studdable tires without the studs and as studded tires including the studs upon request (cost is $8 more per tire). Nokian offers an excellent solution for the Vanagon owner who is comfortable staying with the 14" rim but wants a quality tire with reinforced sidewalls.
We are fans of the Nokian tires because they meet and exceed the required specs for Vanagon tires and have excellent grip and stability in dry and wet conditions. They are designed for long lasting wear and are a quiet tire. Additionally Nokian uses environmentally friendly business practices.
