This one caught us by surprise - we thought these were gone for good but they are back available again new. This is the style of shift linkage bushing that does work with boots. Originally there was a hard bushing that required two boots 251.711.167F on some models (that is this bushing). VW also made a pliable bushing 251.711.207D that required no boots on other models. Then when both of those bushings disappeared for a while, a durable hard bushing that requires no boots started being made to fill the need. That one is 251.711.207D.HD . Seems like we have fluctuated from too few options to too many options.
