This hose comes off #1 cylinder (right head) and runs along side of the transmission. For a while VW stopped making this hose. Since we went to the effort of having these made, we decided to have them made better. These are aircraft grade silicone hoses that are more durable and capable of withstanding temperatures far higher than the stock ones. Silicone hoses require special clamps and although not pictured, they are included. Lately VW has put them back in production, so you do have the option to purchase the original one for a little less or this silicone version.
