This is a replacement H4 headlight kit for the 86-91 Vanagon with rectangular headlights. The H4 headlights were not allowed in this country due to D.O.T. regulations and subsequently the U.S.A. was supplied with the substandard D.O.T. approved lights that use the 9004 bulb. The fluting on the lens of the 9004 headlight did little more than disperse the light instead of focusing it down the road. The H4 lens is fluted for the higher performing H4 bulb and thus projects the light farther and cleaner down the road. The difference between the H4 assemblies and the standard assemblies is amazing!
This kit includes the H4 rectangular head light housings (high and low beam) and the protective boots for the back, Qty 2 80/100 watt H4 bulbs, Qty 2 city light bulbs and sockets, 1 headlight relay kit, Qty 2 H4 pigtails and connectors.
We do not include any type of harness for the city light bulbs.
